I hear what you are saying. If you are on a really big lake bosts one that gets really choppy then I can totally see how that massive freeboard could be comforting. The ride quality wasn't as big of an issue on my smaller river but when I took my boats to some of the larger and deeper lakes the waves can get tiresome having to go slow to keep the wife and kiddo happy.
