I was fortunate to get to the Ampersand for one final visit this past September. During my stay, I particularly enjoyed the delicious aroma of hot coffe and warm baked goods in the morning. The room was spotless when I arrived and everything was exceptional. Subsequent to my stay, I browsed to the Ampersand's website which, instead of room rates and photographs, now displays a farewell message.

I subsequently spoke with the owners who confirmed the sad news that Ampersand Guesthouse has been sold. I will miss Robert and Ken's hospitality and fine accommodations in the quiet West End. This Boatslip Provincetown Sold Files was my second stay at Ampersand and I feel as though I had 2 very different experiences. My first visit I stayed in the Ampersand room on the top floor.

It was cozy and clean and felt private. Small bathroom but just enough space for 1 person to maneuver. The owners were friendly but distant. I never had the breakfast always muffins , instead opting for a meal elsewhere. Pleasant enough experience to bring me back.

However, after my second stay I will pass on returning. This time the room was located on the first floor directly next to the entrance where everyone came and went.

It could not have felt less private. The room was clean but the linens looked worn. I always bring my own sheets though do no deal brsaker.

Owners were professional but not especially welcoming. The bathroom was tiny and located under the stairs. You had to duck your head to use the sink!

Don't even bother turning it in to watch the news or check the weather as you won't be able to see wants on the screen. More so this was just a symbol of the desperate updates that need to occur with this place.

It is worth noting that the location is wonderful and the view fun the roofdeck is beautiful. For the money you can find better.

A lovely guesthouse! I just adored staying at Ampersand. The location is great in a very quiet and beautiful area in the West End of town, a short walk and perfect proximity to restaraunts and shops. I stayed in room 11 and really loved it. The room had windows on 3 sides and opened directly out to a beautiful expansive garden.

The owners were very nice and attentive, while giving lots of privacy. The room was adorable, nothing fancy, but simply perfect for my needs.

It had a big closet with a fridge and a windowed bathroom. It was such a cozy room, I wish I could have stayed on forever. Sailing the seven seas is about leaving the ordinary behind.
