There are plenty of reviews out there on the internet that can give you the detailed rundown of this set and everything on offer; I'll just give an overview of my reaction to and experience with the set, including a couple frustrations during the build that took a little of the wind out of my sails, but fortunately they were balanced by a fantastic set that brought back all the childhood memories.
First off, this set is truly special - it's absolutely a centerpiece set with tons of playable bits and accessories, hidden features, degrees of interaction, just wonderful. For those who played with the old Pirates sets in the 80s and 90s, you'll be beside yourself with nostalgia.
Along with the original Pirate theme, it also evokes strong Sea of Thieves video game and even Pirates of the Caribbean vibes, which is a positive in my book as I have enjoyed both of those intellectual properties as well. Build-wise, there are so many smart and fun little touches, as well as some really fascinating techniques on display - this can be a challenging build for sure, though I imagine a LEGO-experienced year-old could handle much of the build with guidance.

Now to my two issues with the set again, I would have given 4. I fixed it myself with a drill bit and a razor blade, but I'll need to source a new one if I ever decide to sell. Frustrating, but minor. The more major complaint I have has to do with the masts - there are two very long axle pieces that are threaded through 2x2 round bricks to give the masts more height and sturdiness - neat.
So, to sum up: when making the masts, ensure that you're aware of the orientation of these pieces use the LEGO logo on the pips as a guide and stick with the same direction for all the 2x2 rounds - you'll thank yourself in the end.

The wrecked ship Has lots of details with deep story telling. The Roadster features the 1,cc air-cooled Evolution engine just like the Sportster models above. As with the other bikes this engine is featured in, it punches out gobs of torque making cruising and shooting around a cinch. With the Low Rider S we step into the Softail territory.
