So good! My wife and I took our 10 yr old son to dinner there while on a ski vacation. Our son likes simple. His favorite is salmon sushi good piece of raw salmon on rice. When he took a bite of his first piece, he complained of wasabi being on it. Upon inspection, each piece had wasabi smeared on the underside of the fish. When it came time to pay our check I noticed they charged us twice for my sons meal.
To be clear, my wife and I did eat it, I mean there was no reason to waste it especially since it was served on a communal plate. Very disappointed. Very poor customer service. Do yourselves a favor and spend your money elsewhere while visiting Steamboat, then enjoy sushi at your favorite place back home. Our fish is coming from the Toyosu fish market in Japan and other regions of the world so it is limited and not easily replaced and had the fish not been consumed it would've been removed from your bill. Not used to eating sushi but had an approachable menu and we were walked through the needed etiquette. Will be back soon for sure. Really nice night out for some premium sushi in steamboat.
Felt that the fish menu was priced a little high, but being in steamboat that was understandable. The sake menu was definitely overpriced, but that's alright. Enjoyed every bite - just wish I had received a more traditional sushi service given the quality of fish being ordered.

Started off poorly by being seated late for our reservation. No Steamboat Springs Restaurants Open place for 8 people to wait. They asked us to wait in the entry and stairwell, where at least 5 servers passed us, some with food or drinks, as did a few customers.
Our table was in the back room of their new space, with some of us on a bench seat with our backs against a concrete wall. It was cramped and a very stale space. Two patrons left, as they felt tables were not spaced far enough from our group.
Food was good, but two of us ordered the sushi platter. One came after everyone had nearly finished their meals and the other came 20 minutes after that which was a few minutes before 9 pm.
It takes longer. The overall experience was great. The atmosphere upstairs could align more to downstairs but it suffices. Love the simple, yet great options. Amazing food with amazing staff.
