The view from the room wasn't it great I was in wasn't offered a better View. It was a beautiful place to visit. The view from the inside and outside of the hotel of the lake and forest were amazing.
You have to see it for yourself to believe how beautiful nature is with all the comfort. Loved it! Check in is at 3pm wish it could be earlier. Check out is at 11am, most other hotels about the same The walk along the lake front was relaxing - a great help to winddown from driving.
The room orderly's were pleasant and always greeted us when we passed by. The bed was super soft for us - in turn my wife and I had a hard time sleeping. Also, small amount black mold in the corners of the shower. I'm a clean freak. We had only a simple breakfast, coffee and muffins but it was ample for what we needed.
The front desk staff was not friendly and accommodating. They need to be more inviting to the guests than they were. They did not smile and gave us simple answers to our questions. Not the best initial contact for a resort of this type. Probably a view from our room and few more smiles from your staff. They were all beautiful people,and a smile puts the icing on the cake. The pillows to firm and big to sleep but great to lean back and watch tv. Not in good condition, dingy parking, smoking, fair food.
Great golf. I left it behind the door in bathroom. When we called later on the road they stated it was not found. I know it was there and I left it hanging. I was disappointed that someone decided to keep it for themselves. Very upsetting. But my fault I left it. Other than that we enjoyed our visit.
That just hurt so bad at the end. The rooms were clean and the staff were all very polite, friendly, and helpful. I loved having places to eat and so many activities to do onsite. And I loved how close it was to downtown Ruidoso. We also took a scenic drive in the mountains that was amazing. The horseback riding was fantastic - the horses were very gentle and the guides that rode with us were wonderful. The concierge was very helpful also.
It took a while to get our drinks when we ate at the buffet. We were almost done with our meal before we got our drinks. But the food was delicious. I have traveled the world and this was the cleanest 1 have stayed in. Pillows like sandbags No grab bars in shower No exhaust fan in bathroom No towels in fitness center Clock not working in fitness center. Best place ever, peaceful, had everything you need to enjoy your stay.
The setting. Beautiful landscaping and peaceful surroundings. The activities were expensive. We got an upgrade to a lake view which was lovely, we also enjoyed the cozy robes en-suite. Maybe after dark putting some lights out there? Could be nice to walk the property! Coffee shop by restaurant closed early in the evening, no where to get dessert, ordered from restaurant but never got order. We did not like anything about this Hotel. Checked out early after the first night.
Parking garage very dark and no direction signs. Gathering of nations Buffet "freshly prepared choices from around the globe". DO NOT fall for that. The welcome promo-film in the room shows only rich white people from Very relaxing and peaceful vacation. Good food, great room, great golf, and great walking trails.
The Hotel, Casino, Gift Shop, Restaurant Staff Entire Staff was sooooo unfriendly it was unbelievable, AC in room stop working our last night and couldn't even get anybody to fix it, it was miserable. It was beautiful and had so many activities. The rooms were great. Buffet was reasonable and very good.
Especially enjoyed fluffy "made to order" omelette, crispy bacon, good selection of foods. Amazing views. Lots to do. The Tap Restaurant is delicious. A Safe in every room.
Comfortable and Relaxing, in and out of the hotel. A little dirty on the outside bird poo. Pillows were a little too firm and hurt my neck. A little far from civilization. The surroundings and the Inn itself are very beautiful.
Everyone on the staff were very helpful. Air conditioning units are very noisy and made it hard to sleep if the fan was turned off. Turning the fan on helped cover the noise. The pillows seemed large and hard. The location is beautiful. Everything was perfect. Have never had an issue with our stays there. Layout is very confusing.
Security guy at the front door and girls at coffee shop pretty unfriendly. Room air conditioning loud. View outside room window was the roof.
Pool was cloudy. Much of staff was indifferent with the exception of waitress in Wendells lounge, she was excellent. We really enjoyed the view of the lake from the room. Vincente at the desk did a great job helping us when we had a few issues. The food at the sports bar was good but we were disappointed with brown strawberries on cheese tray.
The baked potato was really poor quality and the grated cheese was super dry. Customer service was horrible, people always looked like they where mad.. The room looked out to the lake and the room was very nice and comfortable..
I will definitely be back for another stay.. We were celebrating my birthday and Wednesday night's internet Fiasco was a bummer. Left the casino early cause all the machines were not functioning. I think some compensation should be given. The local was great. The staff are wonderful friendly and helpful. The selection of food choices is outstanding. And the casino is fun without being too noisy or crowded.
