We stayed in a beautiful room that had floor to ceiling windows with views over the Thames and London beyond. The infinity pool on the top floor was fabulous, and has a lovely relaxation area where you can help yourself to tea, coffee or water.

We had a first class Thai dinner at Hutong and a wonderful buffet breakfast the next morning at a table that again overlooked London. Every member of staff was so pleasant and eager to help with whatever our request was. My husband and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels, but the Shangri-La Hotel is a cut above them all!

If you want to wake up and see a degree view of London whilst being hosted by the most divine hospitality, Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard has got to be at the top of your list. From the moment you step foot and are greeted at reception to even when you dine at either TING or indulge in cocktails at GONG, the attention to detail, warmth and hospitality is second to none!

Their Afternoon Tea offering is the best in London and so definitely make a booking to enjoy a leisurely afternoon experiencing that. Cocktails at GONG are not to be missed.
