Quite a good spread. We spent more than 1 hour here. It became crowded after 1pm. I reviewed this place last year and since then I have returned to dine just a couple of days ago.
The restaurant has since undergone some renovations, it looks brighter and cleaner. The food spread and quality remained quite similar and were nice generally. They were fresh and well marinated. There's also a drink and dessert bar, with fresh fruits and ice cream too.
And they were frequently replenished which was good. While tables were placed much closer to one another, probably they wanted to maximise the space, diners could see what the next tables' diners are saying or even "banging" at them or at their tables. But what is most critical was the clearing of the used plates. Perhaps the dinning crowd was huge, the service seemed much slower as there were only staff who were responsible to do that task, in addition to ushering in new diners and setting up for the steamboat as well and also replenishment of soup and food items.
Nonetheless, most of the staff were courteous, friendly and cheerful when clearing the tables though it would be quite a while for them to do so. It was a weekday noon but the restaurant was still very crowded almost full house , possibly it's because of being school holidays! There variety of items were quite good, ranging from various seafood to meats to vegetables, salads, condiments, desserts and fruits etc. Although some items were a little salty possibly due to the marination sauce used , they were generally nice and yummy.
They were fresh and served in large portion. Well, if you love seafood and premium meats, it's quite worthwhile. Generally, it's quite easy and straight forward to control the temperature of the electric cooker after briefed by the staff.
Of course, there were also freeflow of hot and cold beverages, desserts and ice creams. So it's a reasonably priced buffet, considering the variety of food items they offer. This is perhaps one of the first BBQ-cum-steamboat buffets in Singapore. They have kept up with the times and constantly refreshed their menu. Worth a try if you like a BBQ-cum-hotpot buffet.
