All was very well organized from the pick up at the exit of the BTS to the making of our own Krathong, to the visit of the temple, the trip on the long tail and the show in the Artist House.
Date of experience: November After such a long lockdown our boat got out and see the canal again! It was great to cerebrate the River Goddess on this full moon night and wish that the year worries will be gone with the Krathong.

We had a fantastic day touring the sights along one of Bangkok's canals with our guide, Nui. Although stops had to be modified because of Covid closures and water levels, it was a great experience. Nui speaks excellent English and provided substantial information related to each stop.
The lychee farm instead of the orchid farm was really more of a "gardens" but was quite photo-worthy. We were pleasantly surprised that some of the Artist House shops were open so we could stroll the canal side and explore. The puppet theater was not yet running, so we will have to return for that.
The large buddha temple was an amazing surprise, with beautiful colors at the top floor shrine. The museums on the bottom floors will need more time, so we will have to return there as well. We stopped at a small temple on the return trip, but I did not catch its name. It had some lovely murals on the inside and had a cozy, comfortable feel. No one else was around. One of our favorite experiences was having REAL boat noodles: noodles cooked on a boat and then we ate them on a boat!
So fun. Continued on from here to the floating market, which was fun to see. Each boat has a specialty: fish, vegetables, chicken, noodles, coffee--even ice cream! The "land" portion of the market was extremely crowded, many people without masks, so rather uncomfortable.

We are Bangkok residents, and after being stuck at home for the past 6 weeks due to the COVID situation , we were looking for a new activity to do as the city starts to open up again. We weren't sure if Small Teak Boat Canal Adventure would be operating and contacted the company via Whatsapp, and were pleased to receive a prompt reply confirming availability.
We booked the 3 hr Sunset Tour, and Sacha let us know in advance that the planned stops might still be closed. This ended up being the case, but it did not bother us one bit, as we enjoyed just cruising along the canals so much. The monitor lizards, the smiling locals that waved at us, and the gorgeous traditional Thai houses on stilts made this tour completely worth it.
