Carol is absolutely professional and exceptionally friendly. She helped to customize our experience due to our babysitting situation - and my decision not to go with our resort's dive center turned out to be a great decision.
If we ever make it back to Bohol, we'll be diving with Equation again. This cool little dive shop is run by a French couple and has French-speaking staff.
However, they all spoke English well and made Aussies like us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our dive instructor, Yacine, was incredibly friendly and patient and created an excellent environment for my partner and I to gain our open water diving qualifications. Each dive trip was well catered for and a lot of fun. In addition to the diving, the bar that was attached to the dive shop was a nice place for a casual meal and dive shop owner Carol was extremely helpful in organising other tours and activities.
Carol composed a full tailor made program for our stay in Bohol. She was flexible, pro-active and always tried to create the best program to our needs and wishes! During the week we changed the program many times and this was never any problem.
The instructors where highly professional and made us feel comfortable and safe. We highly recommend Equation to everyone who is visting Bohol! We dove with Carol and crew last week and had a great time. There were three of us including our 13 year old son. We arranged the dive through our hotel and it was very smooth.
Carol met us at the hotel, explained what we would do the next day and what time to be at their shop. We met them there the next day and went out on the boat with 4 other divers plus the guides.
We dove Balicasag and then a drift dive near the same island. Balicasag is excellent, the best I have seen in the Philippines. The dive was well organized, all expenses were discussed up front and the team was friendly and fun. They also have a French dinner at their shop some nights during the week which was excellent. If my son says food is good which doesn't happen very often you know it is.
I would strongly recommend Equation. This is a dive shop located in a nice and quiet beach, conveniently located near our resort. It was quite seamless organising the dive package from overseas, and Carol was always prompt and friendly with her email responses. My wife was on the advanced open water course and had one dedicated instructor, Julien, who was very friendly, meticulous and very professional especially when it pertains to dive safety.
We had several excellent fun dives as well, and all the diving staff were very knowledgeable guides. It's also a good place to catch a breakfast before heading out to dive, hearty lunch after diving, and a nice quiet dinner, all very affordable. I have been diving for 12 years, am not French, but certainly impressed with their operation and service.
We couldn't have chosen better!!! Zacharie was our instructor and he is very competent with a lot of knowledge to share. His professionalism and attention to his students was very good for our formation. He provided us a great experience in the dives we made.
