We took a tram from our hotel to the train station, a train to Rotterdam, a taxi to the port for the water bus, and then a a short ferry ride. But there was a tram sitting close by and that took us back to the Rotterdam Centraal train station. The visit itself was very good. Enjoyable day out! We took the boat from Rotterdam, near Erasmus Bridge. Unfortunately I cannot remember the ticket price, but being public transport, it was not a big amount, just a few euros for two of us. The trip was lovely and also enjoyable. When we got to the destination, Kinderdijk, we asked a local for directions and in only a few minutes on foot we were on our way to see the windmills.
The walk was very pleasant, right by the water.
