If your dealer's not willing to deal, there's always another dealership that's as far as a few strokes on your computer keyboard, or by telephone. The other brands mentioned are good boats, but there are another dozen brands Bennington, Manitou, Premier, Harris. And whatever you do, make sure whatever boat you buy has lifting strakes on the toons.

It's what makes them perform. The dealer we bought ours from is not a Bass Pro Shop either. Since they don't deal on the price, we were able to get them to throw in some freebies extra battery and cables, life jackets, anchor, etc.

Lake, Virginia. Just my biased opinion. As for Brian Wallace. Tell him I sent Todd sent you. It looks like a top of the line boat, with alot of plush features.

Without looking, this is probably the boat Iwould consider first. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out. Ed, Cheryl, Ethan and Aspen. Chesapeake City ,MD. Love the boat, not so much the dealer but that's got nothing to do with the boat. I've had excellent service from Suntracker. I would have gone with the Regency Tri-toon, but on a public servant's salary the Signature was all I could swing right now.

I've looked at all the brands Bennington, Manitou, Bentley and Premier and honestly SunTracker has a better boat for the price.

Some things about the SunTracker that the others did not. Lifting Stikes on all the toons inside and out 3.

More upgrades included in the price. To me it was a no brainer on what boat to buy unless you want to spend 10 to 15 k more just for the brand name. I have to laugh when I read some of the forums that Tracker Pontoons suck. I think its all lies because from my experience it has all the high end features without all the high end cost.

It made life real easy. I ordered an extra bag of them so that I could really secure the deck. I still want to build a tower but the summer is well under way and I need to get this thing done so I can get it into the water.

I am going to keep the bimini top for now and will work on the tower through out the summer if I have time and if not, I will do it next spring. I have been painfully contemplating on painting the rails but again it's a time thing as well as some concern of the paint adhesion to aluminum.

I found some real cool stuff for under skinning that I will try it looks like cardboard but it is made of plastic. I believe it's called coreplast. It is used at work for making signs. I think it will work great. New Posts. Members Profile. Post Reply. Now that is a console! I haven't posted much lately as my internet has been down for the last four days and getting the phone company here to check it out is a huge pain. They are suposed to be coming today to fix it so I should be able to post some pictures of my progress.

I can't download the pictures on my work computer, but hopefully tonight. Anyway, I finaly have the pontoons leak free, I installed the motor pod, put down the plywood decking and glued down the flooring yesterday. How long does it take for the flooring glue to dry. It was down yesterday around noon. Everything went good and I had a good 4 days of work on the boat. I had to move a bunch of stuff in my shop to fit the boat in so that I could put down the decking and flooring because of the rain.

It started raining a week and a half ago and hasn't stopped. I can't close the door of my shop because the tounge of the trailer sticks out. I bought a 12'x26' canopy for the boat so I will have to put it up and park it under it so I can get it out of my shop and close my door. My next step is to fab the deck edging. I will post some pictures later on this evening if my internet gets fixed.

Feel free to contact me for help on your project! Pontoon Seats. With your awesome fab skills don't forget the tow bar unless your still going to build a tower. Cant wait to see what you do next! Got the internet fixed so here are the pictures I promised.

Nothing special, just another deck, but I know how much everyone likes pictures so I thought I would share. I had a bit more progress on the boat today before I had to head off to work. I was working on the deck edging. When the shop bent them up for me the break left a couple marks on each Build My Sun Tracker Boat Kits flange about an inch from the bend. I wasn't real happy with that but as it turns out with them installed it actually adds a bit of class to the edging.

I am not quite done yet but here is what I have. I am real happy with the way it is turning out. OOPS sorry for the double picture post. I couldn't figure out how to delete the one picture. Just curious about something that I never really thought about before. I have read several Build My Sun Tracker Boat Quarterly places never to put more that psi inside a pontoon when pressure testing it. I know the reasoning behind it but If the pontoons are leak free and the plugs are in the threaded bungs at the top of each chamber, is possible for the pressure to build up in the pontoon on a sunny day enough to cause a leak in the pontoon, and also a possibility to collapse the pontoons when the temperatures drop to degrees in the winter time.

Or are the pressures and vacumm that would happen not enough to cause and issues. Does anyone know how to take a screen shot from a computer and make it Build My Sun Tracker Boat Questionnaire so that I can post it here?

I have my wakeboard tower designed in bend tech and would like to post it up here for some input. You might laugh but I cant figure that out either so I just take a pic with my phone and post it Screen capture Have the pic you want to capture up on your monitor.

On your keyboard, locate the "prt scr" print screen button usually located near the scroll lock button and hit it this copies to your clipboard Open your image editor or Paint wherever you keep you pictures and click paste.

Make changes example- sizing and "save as" Then save. That couldn't happen. If low air pressure was ever able to fault a good solid weld we would all be in trouble! As a matter of fact, some OEMs now leave the tubes pressurized from the factory to aid in resisting dents. Viper2some wrote: Screen capture This is going to sound real silly but, I have it figured out up until the "hit the print screen button" After that I have no idea where it puts the image.

How do I get to my clipboard. I have done this before and I do believe that it does put it in my clipboard but I can't find my clipboard. Thanks guys I got it.

Here are the images of what I came up with so far. I have 3 different styles based on the same look but this is the one I like the best so far. It's nothing fancy but I like the look of it. It would be sweeping towards the front of the boat. I would be made from 1. Its the same stuff I made my RZR rack from and if strong stuff. I would like to make it out of aluminum but no one around here carries that size of tube. I don't have a tube roller YET, so I can't make sweeping bends.

The program calculates the weight also and as it sits it is 87lbs. The black circles are where couplers will be so that it can be taken apart. They will be heim joints. The bottom section will be mounted to the decking edge, obviously with added support where needed. I still have to design a way to incorporate the bimini top into it. I have some ideas that I am throwing around but nothing in stone yet.

Please feel free to give me som constructive criticizm.
