However, my wife and I ended up driving over miles for what I thought would be a good deal on this boat. It was a great deal. I was told "that 4 stroke will be a dog" wrong. Handles the rough stuff great, a 12" chop helps to get rid of some chinewalk.
I would highly recommend that anyone even considering a bass rig, make sure that you check out a Skeeter on the water before you buy. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. I'll be fishing Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn. I think I am about at max speed. I have tried a lot of props but this one seems to do the best. It is a great little boat and with the expected rate that gas is going to be my little 80 hp Mercury will be a real thrill at the gas pump. From a rough boat to near factory has taken about 1 year. Been fun working on it and I will enjoy its use for sometime to come. I have to let off the throttle just before I get on plane or I'll hit rpms.
Any suggestions? It is a single console and gives me all the room I could ever need. The front deck is huge compared to other brands of similar size. I'm not sure as of yet if the Powertech TR04 is the right prop for the setup. I may throw a Yamaha ProSeries 25" on to match the performance of my son's.

I need to know where to put my motor from the transom and how to measure it. It used to scream at 69 on gps. Without my jackplate I can barely hit 60 and that was only after I put screws in the top 3 water intake holes on my motor.

I assume it was set up by Skeeter since I ordered it new. After break in I am getting 54 mph by gps with only me in the boat with minimum fishing gear. This is running on smooth lake in Florida. Any suggestions that I need to change from original set up? Fishes very shallow compared to my other bassboat which was an Astro. Haven't been in rough water with the boat yet, but it flies compared to my other boat.
I hope I can get it to do 74 or even 75 gps by myself soon. If anyone has the same setup as mine I'd appreciate any info. I love the boat and want to dial it in right so I can fly! The water pressure at wot is around psi, this is a boat of a lifetime!!!! This boat is now one year old and has been out on the water as much as time allows without any problems. It is just the right size for ease of towing and getting in and out of some of the small lakes with remote boat landings of the great Musky waters of Wisconsin.
I guess if I would have done anything different, I would have upped my sonar as the BottomLine units that came with it are just that, bottom line, but they do the job. A better informed salesman would have helped, but Skeeters are not big in this area and he really just didn't know enough to offer much other than standard stuff.

The Yamaha is a but I put the decals on the motor. Needless to say this boat has been pampered. Bill was a fanatic about this boat, the Yamaha was ordered and before it was even put on the boat there were performance upgrades installed to make the scream on the dyno at hp.
The boat is pretty much loaded out with all the goodies and it sure makes me smile when I get her out on the water, or parked in the garage. She really handles great and looks as good as most new boats, and it's FAST!! I have been around boats most of my life and this one is a keeper This speed measure is with me lbs , full gear, and about 20 gals of gas.
