If you try to complete the master angler quest to win the competition this means you will not be able to complete it and the quest giver will announce that a duplicate item allready exists and close the dialog perhaps costing you the win.
So if you allready have a arcanite pole make sure you chose the hook of the master angler as this can be won as many times as you like. You need to catch the fish that look like a clown fish, think Finding Nemo.
To win this tournament and this pole, just be really patient. I have been doing the tournament for about half a year, now. I have caught the fih for Eternium Lines to equip all the "cool" poles that I owned or might own. I also caught the Blue clown fish wich gives I only just won and was very nervous it look like I was closing in on it and possibly might win. I would.
